Incontinence Care Products: Adult diapers and briefs, protective pull-ups and underwear, under pads, wipes, bladder control pads, and guards.
Catheter Supplies: Straight catheters, indwelling catheters, drainage bags, leg bags, and other catheter-related supplies.
Ostomy Supplies: Ostomy pouches, flanges, deodorizing products, ostomy paste, and additional ostomy accessories.
Diabetic Supplies: Blood glucose monitors, lancets, insulin syringes, pen needle tips, alcohol wipes, insulin pump supplies, and related accessories.
Wound Care Supplies: Dressings, gauze, antiseptic solutions, wound rolls, and other wound management products.
Surgical & Medical Support Supplies: Adhesive medical tape, enema kits, and other medically necessary support items.
Additional Medical Supplies: Other medically required items may also be covered when prescribed by a healthcare provider, including products such as gloves, bedpans, canes, and other supportive medical equipment.

The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) covers two main types of medical supplies under its "Mandatory Special Necessities" benefit: Incontinence (bladder/bowel) supplies and Ostomy supplies.
1. Incontinence Supplies
For individuals who experience moderate to severe daily incontinence, ODSP covers:
- Diapers & Briefs: Adult, youth, and junior (size 4 and up) diapers, disposable liners, and reusable mesh brief pants.
- Underpads: Both disposable and washable bed/chair pads.
- Pads & Wipes: Disposable containment pads, barrier creams, and incontinence wipes.
- Catheters & Accessories: Regular, indwelling, or external catheters, drainage bags (leg and night bags), tubing, straps, and insertion supplies (like lubricating jelly).
- Gloves: Latex or vinyl disposable gloves.
2. Ostomy Supplies
For individuals with a chronic or permanent colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy, ODSP covers:
- Pouches (Bags): Both 1-piece and 2-piece systems (drainable, closed-end, flat, or convex).
- Flanges & Barriers: Skin barriers, wafers, flanges, and mouldable ring seals.
- Supporting Supplies: Ostomy belts, paste, barrier powder, pouch covers, and filters.
- Skincare & Maintenance: Deodorants, concentrated odor control products, gel lubricants, and irrigation kits/sleeves.
If your client has already been approved for the Mandatory Special Necessities (MSN) benefit, Bloom Path Medical Supplies can assist with coordinating their incontinence supply needs.
To begin the process, please provide written approval for incontinence supplies along with the following information:
• Client contact information, Member ID, ODSP Office
• Caseworker billing contact details
Once this information is received, a dedicated Bloom Path ODSP Specialist will be assigned to the client’s file. Our specialist will contact the client within one business day to confirm product selection, shipping preferences, and monthly supply requirements.
Bloom Path works closely with clients and caseworkers to ensure the process remains simple, supportive, and fully compliant with ODSP guidelines. Monthly invoices are submitted directly to the caseworker for processing.
